Techniques:
Techniques are Impasto (enough oil that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible) and
Sgraffito (overlying layer of oil paint is etched off to reveal another layer beneath, usually
of a contrasting color). Also wet on wet brush and layering.
Intent:
To challenge and retain the viewer’s attention, mesmerizing and generate an emotional response.
The positive response from gallery owners and patrons has been great. So, if you are looking for new
works to get the interest of your patrons, the use of lines and multicolor shapes that I use,
create a visual affect; so please note, these are different than my typical styles. I have a new look.
The oil paintings are unique modern works with a bold striking edges with hard or soft curves using
overlapping shapes and color to create visual movement with illusions of depth.
A definite meaning to how color reacts to each other and how the mind responds.
Objective:
Find new galleries that would show this type of work.
